Summary
After a disastrous school year at Hogwarts that results in the Headmaster Albus Dumbledore being sent to Azkaban, Tom Riddle accepts the new Headmaster position. Brining along his twin children, Hermione and Theo; the three all still in the throws of grief following the passing of Tom's wife and the children's mother, Phoebe. In the midst of starting a new school in their seventh and final year, Draco finds himself drawn to the new Headmaster's daughter. But before the first week of school even begins, the two suddenly find themselves accidentally bonded and having to adjust both of their lives to center around each other. Through the collective efforts of old and new friends and Hogwarts professors, Draco and Hermione might just graduate in one piece.

She wonders, not for the first time, what Malfoy is cursed with. Because it’s pretty clear he’s been cursed: he takes a mysterious potion every day with his lunch, stored in two opaque phials which he downs one after the other in quick succession. She’s respected his privacy, waited for him to open up about it, but despite their close proximity five days a week, he’s never so much as hinted at what he struggles with.
Whatever it is, it seems fairly benign.

Acting on impulse, Draco hid Hermione under the nose of the other death eaters.
