hello! i recently read the original atyd fic and sirius' pov of it, and i absolutely loved both of them. this fic will, like sirius' pov be every chapter of atyd but from james' pov and this fanfic is inspired by both the original by MsKingBean89 and sirius' pov by Rollercoasterwords all the credit for those works goes to them, please go read theirs first if you haven't, then come back here to get the story from our favorite bambi's perspective.
ps. the writing style of this fic is intended to match the two previous works.

And then Sirius and Remus. Trouble, apparently. Remus couldn’t argue, as their first meeting had involved what could have been breaking and entering – he still wasn’t sure. When they were together, whatever they were doing was at risk of explosion, and they had a way of drawing biting wit from one another. They bickered more than the others, quick to raise hackles and spit glass, but they struggled to hold grudges for more than a few minutes. James hated his friends arguing, so would sometimes intervene. Either way, their apologies ended in laughter, and a friendship a thread stronger. Sirius had secrets too, he thought. Maybe not the same as his, but something.

He looked at Sirius sharply, and for once, matched his grin. “Yeah.”
“Maybe that’s my excuse then,” Sirius said. “I cause a bit of chaos now, and maybe one day, it’ll turn into rock and roll.”After losing his mother at age eleven, Remus has spent the better part of the last four years bouncing from school to school or else running around London and pretending as though he wasn't the kind of well-bred boy his father brought him up to be. Now, with his chances all run out, Remus is sent to Hawkings Independent School as a last-ditch effort to clean up his act. There he meets the very people who will set up the rest of his life, and is forced to confront the pieces of himself he'd long thought had been lost.
