Summary
Based on the film When Harry Met Sally, this story follows the overall plot but the words and most of what happens within the scenes are my own creation.
In 2004, a young Abby gives a youthful Marcus a ride from Chicago to Baltimore where both hope to embark on exciting new lives post University. Abby is training to be a doctor, Marcus dreams of being Governor of Baltimore one day. On the ride, he tells Abby that doctors and politicians can never be lovers or friends because they're too different. Abby isn't so sure, but two days spent in a car with the ambitious young man are perhaps enough to convince her.
We follow them over a number of years, visiting them at crucial points in their lives. Will Marcus be proved right - are they too different to ever be together - or does love find a way no matter what?

This is a time travelling multi-universe story written as though it is a TV series. There are seasons and episodes. Each episode has five or six parts (chapters) and is a stand-alone story with themes and threads that weave through the whole series. It is in novel form, not screenplay. There is also a theme tune! In Season one, episode one, Kane is on the Eligius ship in cryosleep, gravely ill. Abby must find a cure but she knows little about Sanctum, its people or its natural history. Her search is fraught with dangers, and even though she gets some help along the way, all doesn't go according to plan, leaving them to make a drastic and life-altering decision.

Summary

They meet in their secret dell, growing ever closer, exploring their love and their bodies, risking everything for these moments together. Their oblivious parents have other ideas for them, possible suitors, arranged marriages. Abby's father would kill Marcus if he found out, and Marcus's father would destroy the Griffins.
A future together seems impossible, a life apart unthinkable. While they continue to fall in love, shutting their eyes and ears to the trouble they're making, circumstances outside their control may ultimately decide their fate.

Jorja Holtmann is a seven-year-old “forbidden” second child whose existence is only discovered when her father is killed in an unfortunate engineering accident. Ark law states that second children are placed in the skybox and floated on their eighteenth birthday.
As head of the guard and member of the council, Marcus Kane has done it before, Octavia Blake being the most recent example. But this time, for some reason, he can’t find it within himself to condemn this wide-eyed, innocent child to a life of imprisonment. How far is he prepared to go to put one child’s freedom above his lifelong mission to ensure the survival of the human race?
Pretty far, as it turns out.
