“Actually, as my master…” He paused dramatically, his expression roguish. “You could request that I call you something else. Remember that I do have free will, though, for the most part. I’m not obligated to agree. In fact, I think I’ll continue calling you master just to watch you sweat.”

Summary
"If he messed this situation up, if he chose a darker path, he truly was a failure of a man. Goodness was simply handing itself over to him on a silver platter, begging to be devoured and enjoyed. He was being paid more, with no affect to his reputation, to make the right decision. This was a no brainer. He had to at least try. Maybe, just maybe, if he helped her free a large sum of people, this undiluted act of goodness could knock off a few points from his unholy ledger of blood. Perhaps he would find salvation from whatever damnation awaited him in the afterlife. Damnation years of ruthless bloodletting afforded him. He was no fool, so he knew he was no saint."
The fic where I beg the question, "What if Bo Katan can't defeat Din and Din becomes Mand'alor?"

Fíli lived his life by an old dwarven proverb: when a fool drops a treasure, a wise man picks it up (it sounded better in the original khuzdul).
Bella Baggins never quite fit in the Shire. Perhaps she was made for the mountains, instead.

Summary
Kailim Frost doesn't need help.
Through a rash decision, Kailim finds herself enveloped in a community that only wants to help. Running to Hollyfrost Farm was her last resort; a place where she could hide from Joja Corp and all its gray morals.
After hiring one of the locals as a farmhand, Kailim is forced to face the consequences of her previous life. Is isolation the answer to all her nightmares, or does the real solution lie somewhere in the darkness she tries so hard to reject? Maybe Pelican Town needs Kailim, and maybe - just maybe - she needs them.
