Zuko lost so much. His mother, friend, his home - his honour. He needed to restore it and find his place at home again. It was his dream, no, his destiny. He'd take back what he could from his old life, no matter the cost, and remember what he couldn't. Kano lost everything. Her home, family, even her name. You can't live only what is given to you, but what you take.
