“Like hell you do,” Zanka snapped back, scraping together what little fight he had left.
Jabber’s eyes flared a vivid magenta. He let out a low, shallow hum, the sound echoing off the narrow walls as his head tipped only slightly to the side. That was never a good sign. He was scheming. Plotting. You could always tell when he got quiet like this, a grin tugging lazy and sharp at the corner of his mouth, eyes locked on like he’d already placed a silent bet.
“Sure ’bout that?” Jabber purred. Zanka didn’t know what shit he was about to pull. Only that whatever it was, he was not going to enjoy it one bit.
In which, their arrangement should have been straightforward: meet up, fuck, and part ways. No feelings, no strings attached. Meeting in secret every couple of months has its ups and downs. Especially when unwanted emotions get thrown into the mix, and the sex gets messy in more ways than one.
