“Cupcake, you really got the worse end of the deal,” Vi replied, squeezing her hand and then raising her own to Caitlyn´s cheek, but instead of brushing against her skin, she heard Vi´s fingers brush softly against gauze. “I heard you took down Ambessa.”

A multi-chapter fic starting from the S2 battle onwards. Caitlyn, Vi, and all of Piltover/Zaun have a lot of healing to do, but there are many challenges they face in doing so. Caitlyn is wracked with guilt about what she has done to Zaun and Vi. Caitlyn´s father suggests therapy, which Caitlyn reluctantly agrees to. Vi struggles to find her place in a world where her purpose - protecting her family - is no longer relevant. And finally, while Piltover and Zaun may have united in battle, there are still many challenges ahead as they wrestle with what it really means to share power. Told from the perspective of both Vi and Caitlyn.

Summary

After Vander’s death, Vi had nowhere to turn. Her sister, absorbed in her own misguided actions and Silco’s sugar-coated future, has been the thorn lodged in her side. In a desperate plea to save Powder from the Undercity’s wretched fate, she strikes a deal with Silco: a shoe-in for Powder at Piltover’s finest academy, all in exchange for a few punches at the Kiramman daughter. The chance for a better life AND to ruin the top enforcer’s day? Who could ask for a sweeter deal.
With Silco, however, there’s always a catch. He needs the coveted Hextech gem, and Miss. Kiramman won’t hand it over willingly.
So ensues an epic game game of cat and mouse: can Vi retrieve the Hextech gem and save her sister, or will Piltover prevail once again?

A long post-canon fic about Jinx's return to Piltover after 3+ years away after the end of Arcane, except that her timing ends up being completely horrendous as tragedy strikes on the same day Jinx comes back, which drags Vi, Jinx and Cait into a mess of conspiracies, murders and tensions between Piltover and Zaun.
Most of the fic is from Jinx, Cait or Vi POV, but there are segments from the POV of other characters too.
Act 1 is currently complete.

Summary
This is a post episode 8 look at Cait and Vi and how they navigate their relationships while also healing from all the trauma in their lives. It also acts as a study into the Kiramman Family dynamics, how Cait moves past her time with Ambessa, and how Vi handled life during her Pit Fighter phase.
Flashbacks with Maddie, Ambessa and others serve as missing scenes to give a look into the thought process and reasoning behind much of what we saw in the show.
This is part 1 of a show continuation i was asked to write. It's pre-written and I will be post approx. 3 chapters per day most days :)FYI the full title used to be Lovers, Hunters: The Clouds are Hanging Low.
