Summary
Dean Winchester is having a mild crisis. Well, mild is putting it lightly. More like a turn-your-world-upside-down-and-rethink-every-decision-you’ve-ever-made kind of crisis. And it all started when the damn Novak family moved to town. (Or, when Dean and Castiel became friends in highschool, and how they became so much more)

Summary
Professor Castiel Novak is rated an average of 4.8 on Rate My Professor, with helpfulness a 5.0, clarity a 4.9 and easiness a 3.9 with the most common tags being "There for you," and "Respected by students" and "Clear grading criteria." He also has a pepper on fire, which does not hurt his case when it comes to students taking his classes. Dean thinks it a poor description of the real deal because no one mentioned the things that made him who he was.
Of course, Dean never says it either.
Or anything, for that matter.

Summary
Dean Winchester was twenty-six years old when a car accident killed his father and left him paralysed from the waist down. A year and a half later, Dean is in a wheelchair and lives in a care home in Kansas, where he spends his days waiting to die. It's only when Castiel Novak starts volunteering at the care home that Dean starts to wonder if a changed life always equals a ruined one.
