“You have a brother,” says Rei, ignoring the question. Akai inclines his head.

“So it would seem.” He rests his elbow on the armrest.

“I just always imagined you hatched from some hideous egg, a sad and lonely species of asshole,” says Rei.

Before he could properly examine the scene, a shift of light caught Madara's attention, pale moonlight filtering through a thinning cloud and falling upon a creature that could've only been born from it—red eyes the sole speck of colour set in a pale face framed by silver hair.

"If it's about funding, leave a note on my desk," Enigma huffed, "I've heard enough about it from Medicine Pocket."
X sighed, "it was a little about funding, but also about Medicine Pocket. I lent them something for an experiment and they won't give it back."
"It's not like that hasn't stopped you from just taking things back before." Enigma said.
"I tried." X deadpanned. "They bit me."

    Advice Column: Ask Aleph

    Q.
Dear Aleph, much like you, I am an avid reader of all sorts of fiction. Therefore, it puzzles me to find that you have enjoyed every published piece by the frequently-discussed author Recoleta. Frankly, I have found all of Ms. Recoleta’s works to be confusing, tasteless, and pretentious, and I am curious why you have found so much meaning in her work when the majority of critics say otherwise.
    —Anonymous

    A.
    Dear Anonymous,
I will be the first to admit that Recoleta’s works are not always the easiest to understand. But I believe that there is a certain sense of accomplishment in unearthing every idea, every picture, and every drop of symbolism that runs through her stories’ veins. It is my personal belief that many critics do not give Recoleta’s portfolio more than a surface-level glance. I will not lie: if one truly desires to find meaning in her writing, a difficult task may rise ahead of them. But is it not in the nature of literature to present us pictures we must work to decipher ourselves?

Recoleta and Aleph reconnect after the events of Folie et Déraison. Told through various newspaper clippings, letters, and other documentation.
