Then the moment had passed. Robby had loosened his grip, smoothed apologetic palms over tender flesh. The possessiveness had retreated behind the worship, slinking back into whatever cage Robby keeps it in, and Dennis had been left burning for something he couldn't name.
He has a name for it now. Knows exactly what lives under Robby's careful devotion, what paces behind the bars of his restraint. Has learned that there's something feral and fetid underneath the good doctor's careful composure.
He wants to see it again.
Wants to haul it to the light and make Robby look at it.
