“What can’t you take anymore, darling?” Mel, who had been focused on a conversation with Jayce, turned her attention to her friend, who looked completely pathetic, slouched on the sofa with an expression that could be described as deep despair.

“Why don’t you talk to her?” Jayce asked, sounding like it was the most obvious thing in the world and maybe it was, but at that moment, Caitlyn wasn't thinking straight.

Vi nodded absently, her gaze floating from Caitlyn’s eyes to the couch, where she and Vi had first - helped. Caitlyn followed her gaze, checking to see if anything was there, seeing nothing.
Caitlyn met Vi’s eyes, and Vi had a half smile, a little you-caught-me shrug, something satisfied and wistful on her expression. It tugged at Caitlyn’s gut, that clear sign of remembrance.
“You should come,” Caitlyn blurted.
Vi’s eyebrows lifted. “To your game?”
Caitlyn nodded. “If you want to, I mean. It’d be cool if you came - it’d be fun. For you. Should be a pretty good game - or so I’m told. If you’re free - no real pressure.”
She was spared more blabbering by Vi shrugging and saying, “sure.”
“Really?” Caitlyn asked, eyes wide.
“I mean - yeah. Sounds fun. I never really got into the college rivalry stuff, but I’m always available to watch athletic women.”

A single dancer entered the stage. At first she thought it was a young man, male omega, unusually built for one, but when the lighting went up and further illuminated the performer it was clear that this was a woman. In perfect synchronisation with the slow piano music she walked towards the pole in the middle. In contrast to the other dancers Caitlyn had seen, this one didn’t wear heels, but was on her bare feet. Her muscular but yet unmistakingly female body was only covered by a black sports bikini that didn’t leave much to the imagination. Her hair was a mob of vaguely dark pink hair, shaved on one side, she wore dark eyeshadow and a few shining piercings on her nose and ear. But what caught the breath in Caitlyn’s throat was the surprisingly fully tattooed back. Definitely something that wasn’t seen often in Piltover.

Her best friend, Jayce, decides its times to remedy that or at least try to. Never did Caitlyn expect to have fun at a club let alone meet someone.
Vi is focused on getting enough money to send her sister to university and for her old man to retire. That does not leave much time for anything else, but she makes time to spend her nights at the club her family - Powder, Ekko, Claggor and Mylo - enjoy going to. Never did Vi expect to be so enamored with a woman that was out of her league.
Happily ever after? Maybe it does exist.

Caitlyn fiddled with her headset, having finally found the green button on the side and hastily letting out a rather breathless reply. “Um, yes. Hello? This is Houston. I copy.”
There was a long pause in which Caitlyn sat twiddling her thumbs, anxiety pushing the frantic pulse of her heartbeat through her eardrums. Was that wrong? Did she already fuck up? She took a steady deep breath, finger hovering over the talk button until the familiar voice of the astronaut came through her headset once more.
“Damn, Houston. I didn’t expect you to sound so sexy.”
