Summary
Five months after Steve Harrington fought tooth and nail to drag Eddie munson out of of hell and the metal head still hadn't woken up. Eddie was practically lifeless, kept going by machines and medicine. He didnt have many visitors, but a few people came almost every day. There was his uncle Wayne, Dustin Henderson, and one Steve Harrington.
Steve spent five months by Eddie's bedside, learning more about him from those who loved him the most. In that time he'd grown to really admire the man who was once a powerful force against god and all who thought he was weird or different. He was an advocate for the little guy, and passionate in everything he did. Steve learned all this not from Eddie, but from fantastical stories about him. Steves life began to revolve around the sleeping man, and slowly Steve started to wonder if he would ever wake up, or if he even wanted him to?

Eddie Munson survives but ends up in a coma. Steve Harrington visits him everyday and slowly falls in love with someone whos barely part of the living world anymore.

Summary
Steve is struggling. between the constant nightmares reminding him of spring break of 1986, the inconvenience that is his gender identity, and his seemingly hopeless crush on Eddie Munson; he doesn’t know what to do with himself. Luckily, Eddie knows exactly what to do with him.
alternatively: Steve Harrington REALLY wants to kiss Eddie Munson, and Eddie is more than okay with that.
