   Summary

The last thing Montresor hears before passing out is Ada's high pitch and some nonsense from Will. The first thing he hears after waking up is blessed silence.

Until he hears a sigh that isn't his own. Turns out Will is still in that gap between the wall and his bed, asleep.

   Summary

"Shit, Will. Why do ya never keep fightin' ?"

   "Uh ?"

Montresor hesitated. He could just stop talking. Leave things as they were, as they always had been. He was leaning on the kitchen counter to give himself something to hold onto. He could just keep bein' rude and mean. But the words were spilling out. And Montresor didn't have the willpower needed to keep them locked away.

In an angry whisper, through his clenched teeth, he said :

"Why aren't ya tired of me yet, Will ?"
