UNDER RECONSTRUCTION!
Doing a re-write of the first installation of this series and adding a bunch of content so there will be quite a few new chapters in addition to updates to existing ones in this portion of my "Learning to Live" series.
Progress Report as of August 5th: updated the music festival chapter to have a scene with Faye and Spike tripping and to expand on the conversation between Ed and Jet; also took the last two scenes (set back on the BeBop) and put them into their own chapter - also changed around some chapter titles based on how the songs felt for me in regard to the content within
Spike survives his confrontation with Vicious. That's only the beginning of the continuing adventures of the Starship Bebop and its crew whose ongoing mission is to explore new cities, seek out new bounties, and ultimately to search for some meaning to life, the universe, and everything.

Summary
Hawke has travelled to Skyhold for reasons that are not exactly clear, not even to herself. One thing that stands out, however, is that irksome voice that's pestering her and she can't get rid of. As expected, Fenris isn't pleased at all. In the meantime Cullen tries to cope with his feelings for the charming Inquisitor, in spite of the relentless teasing from several women in Skyhold...
Also, later on in the story, the Hero of Ferelden makes her long expected comeback!

Summary
Five years after my initial playthrough, I decided to play this stupid, beautiful, obsession-inducing game again and fell right back in love with FenHawke. This fic is a love letter to the game - mostly canon-compliant and as self-indulgently long, fluffy, angsty, and full of banter as I can make it. I'm also exploring magic, first as something that actually needs to be hidden and second as something that can be used in peace as much as it can be in war. Tags will be added as they become relevant, but this is already 33 (edit: 60 [edit: 159]) pages long in my drafts and I have to get it out into the world.
Hawke didn't want to be a mercenary, let alone a hero, and definitely not a Champion. Fenris, for his part, wanted to escape magic in all its forms. However, life rarely gives one what they want - and for the two of them, that might even be a good thing.
