Summary
"How are you holding up? Any chance you're gonna fall asleep on me again?" Lucy laughed.
"No, I'm good. I'm sure I am going to crash soon, but very awake at the moment."
"Good." Tim took a breath before continuing. "I know you remember me saying I had been doing the work on myself, going to therapy and all. But what you missed after that is that because I know why I did what I did, I can promise you that I will never hurt you like that again." He took a chance and reached out to take her hands in his.
"You mean everything to me, Lucy, and I want us to move forward and really give this a shot. I think you should move in with me," he finished hopefully.
OR
Tim and Lucy continue their conversation later that evening, when she's actually awake....

Lucy shook her head, not quite meeting Angela's eye.
"What?"
At this point, Jaime had no reason to linger in the room, but she was curious, so she busied herself with the computer so she could listen in.
"The reason he's not recovering as quickly is because he was protecting me. He took the brunt of the smoke inhalation," she said quietly.
"Of course he did. He's an idiot, but he still loves you," she said fondly.

Summary
Spec fic for 7x08
"I know I don't have the right, but I needed to see for myself that you were ok," he finished, his eyes studying the floor before looking up at her. "Are you ok?" He looked at her almost pleadingly. A look of understanding passed over Lucy's face then, and she gave a soft nod of her head to indicate he could come in. She shut the door gently behind him before turning to face him.
"I'm ok," she confirmed quietly before stepping directly into his space and enveloping him in a hug. His arms moved of their own accord, wrapping around her and holding her close. He could still smell a slight hint of smoke mixed with her vanilla shampoo as he rested his head on hers. He could have lost her forever today, and he didn't even want to imagine a life without Lucy in it.

Summary
Tim collapsed next to Lucy on the bed, completely and utterly spent. "That...was.."
"Amazing," Lucy panted, her heart rate finally starting to slow.
"Easily makes the top five," Tim said, while continuing to breathe hard. Lucy chuckled, closing her eyes. Tim took that moment to roll onto his side to face her, bringing a hand to her stomach to trace lazy patterns onto her skin. She let him continue his ministrations for a few minutes before she sat up and made to reach for her clothes on the floor.
Tim caught her wrist with his hand and gave a gentle tug to stop her from leaving the bed. "Lucy..."
"This really has to be the last time," she interrupts, staying on the bed but refusing to meet his eyes.
"That's what you said the last three times, Luce," he replied, gently tugging on her wrist more to turn her around to face him. She sighed before meeting his gaze and waiting for him to continue. "Look, I will do whatever you want, for however long you want it. You are in control here, but at some point, we need to talk about this."

Tim grows a set and is honest with Lucy. She still struggles for a bit.

"We still have a lot to talk about," Lucy whispered in the air between them.
"I know," said Tim, pressing another soft kiss to her lips. "I know, and I'm so sorry."
"I know, and I still have to work on trusting you fully again. But, I'm tired of denying myself what I want," she finished holding his gaze.
"God, I don't deserve you," he breathed out, his hands tightening on her waist.

(Being friends with benefits, seemed like a good idea at the time, honestly)
