    This is a closer look at a few key moments of Captain Rex and Ashoka Tanos evolving relationship throughout The Clone Wars. I took a few creative liberties but overall this is canon compliant.
    I really love music, so most chapters have a corresponding song, the one that fits the vibe of the whole work is Big Black Car by Gregory Allen Isakov, in fact most of this was written listening to to him or Hozier.

     

     
    [This was mostly written before I read War Bonds, but it’s the same style, so hopefully if you like that one you’ll like this one as well. Chapters 1-6 are a bit fluffier with references to canon events, chapter 7 is where it starts following events from TCW more closely so if that’s what you like you can skip ahead]
