On the road to Erebor, Thorin and Bilbo found love, but after Bilbo's betrayal before the battle their relationship shattered. At the battle, Thorin was never fatally wounded and so never reconciled with Bilbo. Fearing that Goldlust still clouded Thorin’s mind, Bilbo chose to stay near Erebor (despite his banishment) in order to better protect his friends. Summary
All his life, Bilbo had to keep secrets from the rest of the Shire, feeling isolated and hopeless. Things change when Thorin accidentality does not only create a soulbond between the two, but also drags three more members of his company into the mess. While an escape from the Shire sounds good… How is Bilbo supposed to protect his secrets when in a relationship? Also, considering how rare children are for dwarfs, how will Bilbo’s FOUR partners react should they find out he is physically able of giving them as many as they require? Dwarfs appear to be so rough and determined… What may they be capable of doing to the hobbit?
Or: While hobbit society seems rather serene at first, their harsh rules dedicate a certain lifestyle. Meanwhile, dwarfs are a bunch of genderless feminists and the unchallenged kings of consent and respect. Unfortunately, no one has told Bilbo this.
