“What did you think? Was I good?” Chris asks.
“You were amazing!” Ginny responds with enthusiasm, reciprocating the gesture and placing a hand on Chris’ shoulder in return.
“Thank you, Gin!” She grins brightly, removing her grip from both of their shoulders, turning her attention to the man from earlier. “Oh, so rude of me to not introduce you guys. Ginny, Knox, this is Charlie Dalton. Charlie Dalton, Ginny and Knox.”
The man’s face, Charlie, suddenly drops, snapping his neck up to face Knox. “Knox Overstreet.” He says flatly, almost in amazement, or perhaps disbelief. “Long time no see, Knoxie.”
Knox’s face flushes, and he prays he could blame the sudden redness on the cold. “Hey, Charlie.”
