No, you know it must be never-ending - comprehend if you can,
But when you try to pretend to understand,
You resemble a fool, although you're only a man.
So give it up and smile!There's a lot I could say to hype it up, but, honestly? This fic doesn't need it. Mind the warnings, because it can get gruesome at points, but it'll be worth the ride. I think this is as close to straight-up horror as I've seen any HLVRAI fic get, and trust me, it works well.

There's a lot more I could say ofc but that's the simplest and if I don't leave there I will not shut up
... Really, though, this makes me want to get into Half-Life lore even more than I did before. VRAI Gordon's POV is pretty close to where I'm at, in terms of knowledge re: original canon, so this is a great introduction!

I've already ranted about how much I love this one on Discord a few times now, so I don't have much more to say, but I can boil it down: Podlings deserve more recognition. Jarra-Jen who? Never heard of her. Hup is the up-and-coming legendary hero we need, but not the one we deserve. I hope he gets out of there okay.
