“Remind me again why we’re going to this?” Chimney quietly asks Maddie, popping a gum into his mouth after he’s locked the doors to their van. A few cars down the parking lot, Buck and Eddie are hopping out of Eddie’s truck and— wait— Did Buck drive Eddie’s truck? He shakes the thought away and tries to focus. “We’re karaoke people, not line dancing people! I don’t dance, Maddie! Especially not in a line!”
