    This is a crossover fic between the movie Brooklyn and Carol, which take place the in the same universe (New York City/Brooklyn, 1953). It might help to read my Brooklyn fic (https://archiveofourown.org/works/5569273) to understand Eilis and her own littleness, but it's not necessary.

    Therese is bored one Saturday when Carol won't play with her. Exasperated with Therese's whining, Carol calls Abby to see if she knows any other littles that Therese could play with. Always prepared, Abby comes to the rescue and introduces a new little one, Eilis Lacey - an immigrant from Ireland who doesn't have many friends she can relate to.
