This time, Hinata pulls away his hand and looks up. Komaeda isn’t looking back at him, face red like it has been rubbed raw. He is far too open, far too honest, and Hinata keeps pushing through barbed wire with bare hands in the hopes that he’ll find something, that piece of himself that Komaeda keeps hidden, something shaky and stumbling in the light of day.
Komaeda goes missing for a morning. It shouldn't matter. And then it does.
