Rook wakes up from a bad dream and is shaken in more ways than one as it was a memory from her harrowing childhood. Something is wrong, something from the dream lingers and won't go away, and she has no idea what to do about it. Reluctant to ask for help, she gets it anyway from Lucanis and Emmrich, neither of which expected the brief glimpse into her past that they get.

After a long day trudging through Hossberg, Rook is dirty, tired and just wants to chill with a book after a bath. She feels the need to release some tension, but there is a slight misunderstanding that leads to Emmrich bursting in. There's embarrassment all around, and Emmrich returns to his room to have a good, long, hard think about everything.

Post Veilguard - Unable to keep their hands to themselves, Rook fell pregnant before Emmrich ascended to Lichdom. Despite the grueling battle against the Elvhen Gods and their armies and to the shock of both parents, Rook managed to carry the baby to term and gave birth to a healthy baby girl months after they returned to Nevarra. Life as a Lich, married and with a daughter is more than Emmrich could have ever dreamed of, but his overprotective and worry wart nature meant that their little girl grew up only seeing Emmrich through his glamour, never in his true form. After Emmrich's ascension to Lichdom, he outwardly appears happy having finally achieved his lifelong dream. That dream came at a cost, however, and Rook is worried that he hasn't allowed himself a chance to grieve the loss of Manfred. She is determined to be there for him and hopes that, in doing so, he will allow himself to seek the comfort he clearly needs.
