    If it's what I’d prefer? Luke thought, hysterically. An uncontrollable laugh bubbled out of his throat.

    “What if I fall, huh? What if I fall and die before you get me?!” Luke yelled, his breathing quickening. The bark was beginning to dig into his skin, almost certainly leaving impressions along his arms.
