The snow was falling in large fluffy flakes outside the penthouse window. The wind was calm and there was a soft hush outside, the buildings all lighting the night sky and the cars quietly passing by on the streets far below. It was so peaceful, and it was a beautiful night to have finally been able to meet after time apart. They had arrived separately but close together, and as one messaged that they had arrived at the hotel the other stood and drifted to the kitchen. Xiao Zhan drew in a breath to greet Yibo as he came through the entryway but before he could speak, arms curled around his waist from behind.
“I missed you Zhan-ge,” was the whisper from behind, breath brushing across his neck.

“A cat,” A’Yuan says proudly, leaning his round cheek against the top of the cat’s head, while the cat continues to look at Wei Wuxian like he’s wearing week-old clothes covered in food stains.
