All the things they didn’t say to each other.
(Featuring Sabine, Shin, and the inherent homoeroticism of trying to fucking kill someone.)

Summary
In one timeline, Catherine Foundling was saved from guards in an alleyway by the Black Knight and the Captain. In a second, she took a different path home and never met them. In a third, she lost the fight she’d signed up for that night and delved into the underworld of Laure. In a fourth, her savior wielded a sword that keened.
And in another, she had the good fortune to encounter a fascinating stranger with a lute and a hip flask.

Summary
She has Night in her veins, always will — like all Nyx’s children, her ichor runs black, shot through with starlight — and she can slip away from day’s harsh revelations as easily as a comet darts behind a passing cloud. She’s modest, after all, for the uninvited guest that she is: just here to drop off her little gift on the table. A little something from the Garden of the Hesperides, just a nice golden apple done up with a bit of style.
Kallisti, she’s carved into it.
For the fairest.

“You know,” he says to Daniel one day, when they’re sipping their drinks at one of the round covered tables where the waiters put all those weird little carved pats of butter, “you sold out, man.”

Summary
The slipspace journey from Earth to the Ark is going to take three weeks. There's no way around that, so perhaps it's best to use that time to get old enemies used to fighting beside one another. (And, perhaps, to start mending fences.)
There's a lot of room for improvement.
(In which the Arbiter becomes better friends with one Avery Johnson, learns a lot about humans, and maybe just maybe bonds with the man he once called Demon.)
(In this chapter: The tension shifts. Maybe.)

Summary
You know that party? Moon's party? The one where Sam LaRusso drank Tory Nichols under a table, and then kissed her ex in a drunken haze by the pool?
Yeah. That one. Except this time around, there is no fateful drinking contest. And Sam LaRusso?
Miguel's not the one she's kissing tonight.
