That bastard. Harry almost grins from the giddiness of it all, though he is almost afraid to hope. Elation swells up in his chest anyway. “I have to find him.”
Dumbledore smiles. “I had always thought you two had much in common. Perhaps you would have gotten along if not for some, ah, unfortunate history.”
“I’m not sure I’d go that far, sir.”

Summary
Voldemort had won the war. The Order was taking refuge in a distant location, trying to escape the radar of the Death Eaters who were now on the loose.
A solution emerged, one that did not please anyone in the Order, least of all Harry. According to Dumbledore's letter, Harry needed more magic to defeat Voldemort, who now had an amulet.
But to do so, he had to marry someone with strong magic. That someone was Severus Snape.
