    “Isha, this is. . . Ekko.” Jinx looked up at him. The same look in her gaze from when they last saw each other on the bridge before she released the safety pin on her bomb. The furrowed brows, the molten gaze and soft smile that faded as soon as it appeared. “An old friend.”
    -
    Ekko learns an invaluable lesson from Powder— carrying it to heart as he returns back to his timeline. The first thing he does is seek her. Only to find that she’s not alone when adorable gold eyes peered from behind a wary Jinx.

    She didn’t know what to make of Ekko but his words resonated deep within her. She wants to be deserving of Isha’s love. . . and maybe, down the road, his as well. She can only hope that she doesn’t jinx it.

    In a whirlwind of events, Ekko and Jinx forge their own path to building something new in the wasteland they call home.

    “Don’t say things you don’t mean,” Ekko says. He has a shit eating grin, and god, why must he be so disarmingly handsome?

    “Fuck off,” she says, no bite in her voice. It’s easy for Ekko to grab her wrist and push the gun off his chest, he pulls her closer by her waist.

    “I missed you, Jinx,” he confesses into her hair.

    (or: Jinx and Ekko secretly reconnect while she still works for Silco, and a slip-up causes her to re-think the choices she's made up until now.)

    Jinx's life has always seemed like a series of events that start off normal but quickly spiral out of control. Her friendship with Ekko, although it has had some (many) pretty bad days, is absolutely normal and predictable now. Until she makes a seemingly inconsequential bet that slowly spirals out of control in some pretty unexpected ways (with a well-meaning push from Vi and Caitlyn, which obviously doesn't help matters at all). Amidst university projects and her older sister's wedding looming ever closer, Jinx wonders if she will survive the mess that is her own life.
