Summary
In the bustling world of New Eridu, Wise, a seasoned Proxy, finds himself in an unexpected role after a chance encounter in an alley. Dazed, red eyes lock with hers and then he giggles, slurring out, “Ayaka? Heh, hi. You… pretty, heh…”
She clears her throat, ignoring the warmth in her ears as she draws closer to inspect him. “How are you feeling?”
“I feel, ah… blessed… by a white heron’s most attentive gaze… Beauty like- HIC -mmm… no other.”
