Summary
Okay, maybe it WAS Mike’s fault that in the span of 24 hours, he was trapped in a Russian elevator with Lucas’s girlfriend, his little sister and her asshole friend.
But did it really have to happen when he was in this stupid sailor outfit??
Or,
It’s the Scoops Troop! But, instead of our favorite pair of besties, it’s Max and Mike to take their place along with none other than Derek Turnbow and Holly Wheeler.

Summary
And he’s good at noticing things; he knew when Erica stole any of his action figures. He knew when Dustin lied about being sick because he always sounded so guilty over the radio. He knew that Will and Mike had a special relationship. He knew that there was something El wasn’t telling them when Will was missing. He knew Mike clung onto her in a weird way. He knew that kids calling Will, ‘Zombie Boy,’ meant more than just him coming back to life. He knew when Max liked him. He knew when she was mad at him, and he knew when to leave her alone or beg her for forgiveness.
He knew that he was different. He knows that he’s different.
…
So, he’s not stupid. Far from it, actually.
And that’s why he knows Mike is acting really, really weird.
(aka a fic about Lucas, Mike, how they parallel each other and their needs to conform; first part takes place in between s3 and s4, second part is s5 speculation)

Summary
Two months of long-distance has turned Mike and Will’s letters into a lifeline. But when Jane accidentally mails a letter containing Will’s private fantasies, the distance between Hawkins and Lenora officially catches fire.
What follows is an escalation of provocative Polaroids, a "ruined" letter, and an oversized Hellfire shirt that smells like home. Across a 1,500-mile phone line, the metaphors of "cleric and paladin" are finally stripped away, replaced by raw hunger and a promise: when Mike gets to California, he’s going to mark every inch of Will's skin.

Summary
For the past 6 months, Mike Wheeler has been following Will Byers all around New York City—without Will knowing. But it's not in a weird way, like the stories Mike's heard about on television. The entire situation is just one big misunderstanding.
It started when Mike decided to drive all the way up to New York to reconcile his friendship with Will—they'd fallen out after Will moved away, and he desperately wanted to fix that. He’d made it to the city and managed to find Will, and was ready to get started on rebuilding their relationship right away. That’s when he ran into a small issue: for some reason, he was physically incapable of approaching Will. For days, he attempted to work up the courage to walk up to him, but it proved impossible. Days turned into weeks, and then months, and Mike was still stuck watching him from afar. Only now, he knew exactly where to find Will when he needed to.
He was growing fearful that he might be stuck in the shadows of Will's life forever. That was, until Will walked into a bookstore and found Mike working there.
