Summary
Maddie sometimes forgets that on top of being her son and an alien, Sonic is a hedgehog. He exhibits traits related to his Earthly counterpart. These traits can be harmless like belly rubs or purring.
They can also be damaging, as Maddie discovers after Tails and Knuckles getting sick causes Sonic so much stress that he reverts to older habits.

Trigger Warning: Self-harm (Tails and Knuckles don't take care of themselves, and Sonic bites himself until he bleeds), life-threatening situations (baby Sonic got sick while living in a hole in the ground- what do you want from me?)This is from hedgehog biting themselves when they're in stressful situations. I guess I'm writing about movie Sonic being more like a hedgehog than people give him credit for now
