“This,” Garmadon raises a clawed hand to point at him, “Is the legendary Green Ninja?”
“Dad,” Lloyd begs, unable to move beneath his father’s shadow. Pinned in place, a butterfly laid out on a corkboard.
“Let me show you exactly how this will go, boy,” Garmadon takes a step back, and reaches down to grab something out of the rubble. His hand grapples around for a moment, disappearing out of view as Lloyd tries desperately to work out what he intends to do. Then, there is a sharp gasp, a voice that Lloyd does not recognise, and–
His father’s hand yanks back into view, wrapped bruisingly-tight around the wrist of a woman.

Summary
The legendary ninjas disappeared while trying to stop the merge. After years with no sign or so much as a whisper from the ninja, Arin had mostly given up hope of ever seeing his childhood heroes again. That was until he and Sora were captured by Imperium while trying to save a baby dragon.
Or… What if Riyu was not the only one trapped by Imperium in season 1 episode 1 of Dragons Rising? And what if Lloyd wasn’t there to save Arin and Sora from their claws?
Or… Lloyd is captured by Imperium to be used as their new power source. Because of this, he is not there to save Arin and Sora in the first episode.
