Summary
“You like this.” Mu Qing says, barely above a whisper. Feng Xin stutters a bit and pathetically tries to pull away, but Mu Qing uses his legs to keep a strong hold on the other’s throat and squeezes so tight he can hear his breath click.
Mu Qing thinks about Jian Lan, the only other person he knows Feng Xin has had such relations with. How cutting her words could be, how forceful she was.
Mu Qing laughs, soft and airy. He really can’t believe this.
“You dog,” he says, “you like this.”
Feng Xin whimpers.

Summary
Denial is the foundation of this relationship between them. It is the engine that drives them, and the excuse to not cross the line at the same time. But the line is never crossed, and both of them have hundreds of reasons to justify it. Mu Qing is aware that most of his own are made up. And it almost pains him how he wants to dare Feng Xin to drop his.
Mu Qing leans his head against the wall again, trying to look as relaxed as he possibly can, and he says it out loud now,
“I dare you, Feng Xin”.
