An alternate universe story. Set after the events of Avatar the Last Airbender, After Aang's eventual passing, Raava senses deep unrest and imbalance in the Earth Kingdom, fearing it may collapse. While the cycle should continue to a Water Tribe child, Raava diverts the Avatar Spirit to a prodigious Earth Kingdom infant. Kuvira. This decision will alter the course of world events and history itself.

The ceaseless ringing of late summer cicada-moths, and the rhythmic sound of her own labored breathing, was almost loud enough to drown out thoughts Kuvira so desperately wanted to ignore. Almost.
