Book 4: Cycle is an alternative story to the Legend of Korra Book Four: Balance. It follows Korra as she tries to understand what it means to be the Avatar, while Kuvira rises to power in the Earth Kingdom, and the whispers of the Red Lotus spread fear across the world.
Korra and Kuvira's journeys are different then the original, in that Book 4: Cycle features Kuvira's downfall and redemption, and Korra works through what it means to be the Avatar and who the ghost is that's haunting her. This fanon isn't meant to be a 'fixing Legend of Korra' story (though hopefully not worse) but simply different, and I've also tried to stick to the original storyline where possible since it's a fun challenge to work within that framework.
The story is nearly complete so I'll be publishing chapters pretty frequently. :)

If only anyone, including himself, believed him. After all, the sleep paralysis monster by your bedside is probably an unreliable co-detective. Then there's also the fact no one can found out that he lost his bending one strange night.Speaking of the democratic transition, Korra finds herself suspected of involvement in a string of bombings around the Earth Kingdom. Courtesy of a former thief, who finds he has to compromise on his new ideals more than he'd like when secrets from the past and present unravel. Fortunately, lying is his specialty.
Meanwhile, they never imagined they'd ever experience why so many rare benders just happened to have bunched together to upend the established order on such a personal level.
