Korra finally comes to Republic City among major unrest related to the Spirit Portals being open, the emergence of spirits and Spirit Vines. And Asami is an Equalist. And a new Airbender. But she doesn't know the last part. Yet.

Almost six months have passed since Yuze and Lin reunited, and their bond as mother and daughter has been growing stronger with each passing day. Everything seemed to be going well-until vivid dreams started to invade their sleep.
