Summary
Sephiroth, Angeal, Genesis, and Zack live in a small, close-knit pack of wolf shifters deep in the mountains. They rarely see outside interference and certainly never in the dead of winter. Still, some hunter must have made their way into their territory, because Zack finds himself gravely injured after stumbling into an unexpected bear trap.
Thirsty for revenge, Sephiroth tracks down the hunter responsible and attacks on sight. He only stops his assault when he catches the faint scent of omega.

Summary
The thing about Hanagaki Takemichi is this: he abhors loneliness about as much as he embraces it. It is difficult to trudge through a life where the only meaningful conversations he ever has are about how incompetent he is or how he has fucked up something this time - difficult to watch other people smile guilelessly on the streets as they pass him by, as he wonders what it'd be like to be like them.
It is still, however, vastly preferable to the only other option, which is trust in him and the eventual breaking of it that leads to his very painful end - and maybe, if he's especially unlucky (and he usually is), a lot of other, completely unnecessary deaths.
