The long-established plan for this weekend is to hunker down at Reiner's and enjoy each other in new and exciting ways. Jean's been looking forward to it all through his long, grueling week.
"Forgot your—" he starts as he opens the door, then has to look down as his brain reboots. "You're not Reiner."
"Neither are you," the brown-haired teenager accuses, giving him a critical once-over. "And at least I'm wearing a shirt." She pushes past him, her duffel back banging against Jean's side on the way in.

Jean knew the moment Reiner offered that he would follow him home for the weekend.
Now he just has to figure out what exactly that means.Jean's hands tighten on the wheel. All around him, strangers are driving other cars, thinking about their groceries or their jobs or any number of mundane things. It feels weird, saying it in a place like this instead of a bed. Clinical. Detached.
Not easier, exactly. But also not loaded with immediate consequences.
"It's just. I don't mind being called a nasty worthless cockslut," he admits. Then amends: "During sex, that is. I definitely do mind in real life."
"Sex isn't real life?"
"Don't get philosophical on me, I'm trying to drive."

Summary
When Reiner is captured after his assault on Shiganshina, he's thrown into an underground cell while Levi and the others try and decide what to do with him. Wrecked with guilt about their secret former relationship, Jean volunteers to keep watch during the nights. As he and Reiner begin to grow close once more, well-kept secrets come to light and Jean has to decide whether he's ready to live for himself again or not.
