Summary
Angie Lyman was once an employee at the esteemed Playtime Co., before the downfall that is.
One day, everyone just disappeared. No warning, no notice, nothing. All they'd done was call off work for a day due to an illness, but it's as if the next day the factory ceased to exist.
A note in their mailbox and a VHS tape containing an advertisement for the first toy that really made an impression on consumers was the final push they needed to return, to find out what happened.
Entering the old factory, things are a lot creepier than they remember leaving them as an old friend watches them from the shadows.

Hi! so me and a friend who we will call 'Flicker' for the time being. were like COOKING this au for a while. we have a doc with over 30 tabs of planning and descriptions and orders and games and we were like going at it. and then November 30th happened..........and yeah.
but we had put so so so so much effort into this au that we didn't want to waste it! so i'm posting it now and reclaiming this work. cause i had fun with it, and i think other people might enjoy reading it too!
---------(actual summary below)---------5 survivors were all that were left after round one. Their reward for winning? a single full year of freedom.
Before being dragged back down to the same high school they had believed they had graduated from.
With all their old classmates equally confused and freshly revived having no memory after the point they died, tensions are already running high. how would they manage to get all 16 of them out if only 5 survived last time?!
but to make matters worse. this year there's underclassmen joining them. A whole new group of 16 who has no prior experience with the game. Can they be trusted? will they help aid in escape or break quicker than the first?

As the people of Fontaine began reconstruction, Furina lost her place in Fontaine. She was tired. Tired of everything. After struggling to adjust to the changes in Fontaine and with herself, she planned to escape from Fontaine and the curious eyes that followed her everywhere she went. In her attempt to flee the nation, she was swept away by a mysterious power in the Fountain of Lucine. A week later, she wakes up along the shores of a rainforest unsure of where and who she was.
OR: Furina is tired of being in Fontaine, gets amnesia when fleeing, and ends up in Sumeru.

The game’s creators, their wardens, wanted him to start thinking like that. They wanted him to be desperate, to cling to life with everything he had, even if it meant destroying somebody else’s.
Unfortunately for them, Kazutoshi had already learned long ago that the world hated him and wanted him dead, and that every single second spent defying that fate was him raising a massive middle finger at God. He had chosen to keep living out of spite, but he refused to do it through the terms set out by the killing game.
And that meant that if he wanted to experience any of those simple, lovely dreams, he was going to have to get everyone out of this alive.
