“I want…” Nagi started, trailing off like he needed a moment to collect his thoughts.
“Yeah?” There was absolutely nothing Reo wouldn’t give him right now.
Nagi pressed their foreheads together, fingers curled in the hairs at Reo’s nape. His voice was so painfully soft. “…Want Reo to make me his ma-”
And then Reo was awake.

Reo stills. Slowly, he turns to face Nagi, his hand still loosely wrapped around the pencil he was using to take notes.
“...what?”
“I think I’m in love with you,” Nagi repeats.
It can’t be the first confession Reo’s heard before. Maybe the first confession from a boy, though.
Reo makes a strange noise. His expression contorts a few times, before landing on bewilderment. He puts his pencil down. Nagi glances away.
“You’re… you’re in…” Reo trails off. Nagi stares at his own hands. “Nagi, where’s—where’s this coming from?”
Nagi does a half-shrug with one shoulder without looking up. “Dunno.”
He coughs.
