To L’s credit, he didn’t immediately fold, instead rattling off a very lengthy list of reasons why they can’t and shouldn’t engage in any inappropriate undertakings with each other. But after going back and forth for an indiscernible amount of time, L began to crack under the weight of Light’s stubborn seduction.
“Why don’t you trust me? I’m risking myself just as much by simply approaching you,” Light argued, and judging by the way L leaned into his hand, reluctantly shifting his gaze to the floor, he’d say he had done a pretty damn good job at it.

Summary
Light was sick of it, and he was sick of L treating Beyond like he deserved any attention or respect from either of them. That is, until they finally gave Beyond an audience and heard out his only request: a good old-fashioned one night stand.

Light’s lips quirked into a contorted mix of a smirk and a frown. “You smell weird, is all. Not in a bad way, just… not like usual. It wouldn’t be a big deal if it weren’t so distracting,” he admitted, not sure why he was being so honest. It almost sounded vulgar. Light side-eyed L as he mentally prepared for his reproach, or at least some sort of reaction. However, all L did was spit out his toothpaste, washing the minty fluid down the sink.
L sighed. “It’s just… hormones, from being stressed and sleep deprived. It’s not like I’m in… heat, or something. I’m a beta. Light-kun knows this. He has no reason to worry about me."
... In which L spends the majority of his life hiding the fact that he's an omega, until the stress of the Kira case and close proximity to a certain alpha makes him slip up.
