Legundo's involuntary trip through the multiverse has landed him in all sorts of predicaments, worlds with hidden dangers or unobvious threats. One thing has been constant, though - he has always been alone, with the exception of the ghosts of his past that h(a)unt him.Technically, that hasn't changed. It's just gotten infinitely more obvious and infinitely less easy to negotiate with. With Legundo's usual ever-present time limit bearing down on both him and this new unknown, things seem set to unravel... whether or not anyone wants them to.

“Ah, hello there,” he greeted warily, yet still put on a kind smile. “Come in.”
The bat’s wings flapped once, blurring into a mess of white and red until the man himself was standing in the middle of his house/clinic. How wonderful.
Owen brushed himself off, “Hello, doctor. Always nice to see you.”
Legundo paused as Owen’s eyes bored into him, sharp and uncaring. “…You as well. To what do I owe the pleasure?”
Owen’s face tightened slightly. Nearly unnoticeable. Was he angry? Nervous? Legundo couldn’t quite determine its origin. “Well, I wanted to continue our conversation from earlier. Besides, you are a… fascinating character.”

continuing the trifecta of oneshot character studies ive made, heres the fated bloodletting fic. i can believe ive been infected in rwriting these guys. however they are indeed fascinating
this takes place around episode four or five, though owen hasn't fully crashed out yet

“The ferryman was tall and slim as a cattail. He moved like a someone young and fit, but his hair was aged, icy silver. His clothes were woven of rough-spun cloth and dyed cool grays and somber greens. A patch covered one of his eyes, and a thick scarf hid much of the rest of his face.
But the first thing the tinkerer noticed when they first met outside that inn was his scent; cold river water and ancient pines.
His sudden appearance had been a lucky stroke for the tinkerer. His usual cartwoman had fallen unexpectedly ill, leaving him with no way to transport his latest game to the customer waiting in a town five miles away. When the ferryman approached and offered to transport it by river, the tinkerer hadn't even stopped to ask for the price.”
