Summary
50 years after Magla's discovery and the church is the most powerful institution in the country. Elda are non-existent in common life and many "lesser tribes" hide in their neighborhoods. Magla luxury items are sold to the upper class, and Paripus protest threaten the cities industry.
Fabienne was a cafe manager with dreams to start her own restaurants. Those dreams died with her friend Grius, leaving her in charge of his three kids. With the household consisting of a Paripus, a half—blood, and two elda, one chronically ill, Fabienne takes up a dog sitting job for a rich business woman. Of her multitude of problems, she finds her controlling boss to be the least of them.
Brigitta is the youngest C.E.O of an igniter company and she made it what it is. Under her shrewd leadership the hopeless local shop turned into one of the top 5 businesses working with Magla. Her ruthless tactics ensured her company came out on top. She cares only about being the top of igniter sales, and she will crush anyone, friend or foe, to get there. Her only problem is the headstrong dog sitter, who keeps falling out of line.
