It made him recall when Artem was sick — in one of his most vulnerable moments — he’d sought Vyn’s presence to make him feel safe despite being unconscious. It was one of the kindest things Artem could’ve done for him. Rosa did much the same, in the way she trusted him to never hurt her.
Vyn wanted to return their trust and affection freely, without the restraints of his blood ties.
But not yet, not until Vyn had more knowledge of the current state of Svart.
Vyn couldn’t allow himself to become the person who caused either of them any harm. That’s why he had Ogier pursue and investigate the matter further. For now, Vyn would enjoy this moment in the presence of those who he loved deeply, and who had returned that love just as much.
Surrounded by his loved ones, Vyn Richter fell into a deep sleep.

Artem blinked at her words, his lips turned apart following his surprise. Her green eyes flickered with determination to make her words a reality. For him, all of this was already enough as it was, but he knew nothing he would say would be able to deter her. Hence, he smiled softly and responded:
“I’m looking forward to it then.”

They sat like that for a while, in companionable silence. Nothing between them and nothing around them, but the world in its beautiful stillness.
“Why did you give me the name Welt?” The man in question asked suddenly.
As expected, however, the scientist gave no answer - she only smiled cryptically. “Maybe you should ask someone else.”

One of the people around him, masquerading as his missing brother?
That sounds like a terrible idea.

Or: When the NXX decide to infiltrate an invite-only, high-class event, Artem ends up accompanying Marius in the limelight… while also being disguised as Giann. As it so happens, neither of them are particularly excited about this.

That… That can’t be right, can it? Time travel doesn’t exist outside of his favorite movie. He checks his watch, frowning as he remembers that the model he is wearing only tells the month and day, not the year. They coincide, his watch reading Apr 26, 12:15 pm.
He wonders how bank accounts work if one has been sent to the past.
or alternatively: the nxx is sent to the past under mysterious circumstances. wait, what do you mean luke has already done this before?!
