"So... Miss Lumine?"
A male voice rang out, making the young girl have to raise her golden eyes. The ginger haired detective is sitting behind the work table, attentively reading her CV which was held in his right hand.
"Yes?"
"Why do you want this job?" The detective asked.
The young girl blinked. A very simple question. After a few seconds of thinking something, Lumine answered in a calm voice, like she always does:
"I need money, and this job's salary is very high."
The detective glanced up at her for the first time since this meeting began. Lumine swore that she could see a little grin on his lips. And in a strange way, he mused:
"Interesting... very interesting..."
"Excuse me, what?" said Lumine.
But the detective didn't answer, he just looked at her and smiled.
At that time, Lumine didn't know what the detective meant.
Until later, she learned that the man was amused for how brave she is for trying to lie in front of a detective, more precisely, in front of him, the detective called by the name Childe.
