It was like stepping over the threshold of awareness from slumber. For him, it was always a step from nightmare to worse. It was inexcusably shameful but Chris retreated behind the poisoned shield of the P-30 because it was better than facing what he’d done. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d looked down at his own hands and saw them clean of blood…”

    Death had been the objective when he’d struck Chris across the head so hard that he’d fallen unconscious, but once he’d dispatched the remaining mosquito and went to deliver the final blow on Chris, there was a deep dissatisfaction with the fact that Chris wasn’t even conscious to appreciate his defeat. He looked unnaturally placid there, lying on the ground, bleeding sluggishly from a wound just under his hairline, peaceful and ignorant. And that wasn’t the way Albert wanted him to die. 

    Wesker defeats Chris and Sheva at the volcano and claims his spoils.
