Yusuke gets into fights. He always has, and that hasn't changed even as he's gotten older and taken the seat of Demon King in his father's old realm. Even though he's given up his human life after Keiko's death, he still comes to visit the human realm to receive treatment for his numerous battle wounds. It's never anything serious, but any excuse to visit his favorite fox boy is a good one. Maybe one of these times he'll actually have the courage to tell the redhead how he feels.

The first time Yusuke died, it was instantaneous, and his soulmate wasn't able to help him live through it. The second time, it was slower, but he was stubborn and didn't want his soulmate to waste his life.
