Luffy feels the bond strengthening. The bond that was created when Zoro accepted his deal and strengthened when Luffy promised to not get in the way of Zoro's dream. An additional layer forms as Zoro makes a promise back to him, a promise he will have to uphold for Luffy, so Luffy can be pirate king with a crew he can be proud of. Summary
Being married to the King of the Pirates had its upsides and its downsides. If you wanted to know which particular side was winning on that particular day, then Law would tell you that it usually depended on whether or not Luffy had caused any type of international incident or migraine-inducing disaster in the last couple hours. It was also entirely possible for him to do both in one day, but Law preferred not to think about that if he didn't have to.
If he was being honest, he needed more coffee. A lot more coffee.

Summary

Summary
Everyone gets marks at least once in their lifetime. It's just a matter of when. Marks can appear red, or black, the marks aren't set in stone. They're subject to change, they can disappear, change color, or even scar. A black mark means feelings on all sides are mutual, red means the love is unrequited, and well, a scar comes from a mark dying.
Law is not one easily persued, he's never gotten a mark, and finds them to be, putting it frankly, a load of crap. How could some inexplainable mark on the skin determine love anyway?
Luffy, on the other hand, loves so much. He's had four marks, all of which have scared. Luffy has been through a lot, he's convinced himself marks are cursed in the past. But this time he'll make sure it's different.
