È solo quando gli occhi incontrano per la prima volta quelli della persona con cui si è destinati a passare il resto della vita che questi cambiano e diventano del loro reale colore.
Dopo una strana notte ad una festa della confraternita, Louis si sveglia con gli occhi azzurri e la scioccante consapevolezza di aver finalmente incontrato la sua anima gemella, senza alcun ricordo.
Passano sette lunghi anni in cui Louis viene a patti con il fatto che non conoscerà mai la persona che gli ha cambiato il colore degli occhi. Poi in un'estate fortunata, un bellissimo fotografo dagli occhi verdi arriva al posto di lavoro di Louis, portandosi con se la promessa di infinite risate ed un sentimento troppo familiare che alberga nel cuore di Louis.
