Summary
When Pan's curse came rolling in, Regina joined Emma and Henry in NYC. Now, they must navigate their new life (and fake memories) to make this family work for them. But will it still fit when reality comes knocking?
“‘Emma,’ Regina greeted, a note of surprise in her voice.
‘Uh, hi.’ Emma said. ‘Henry left his sweater at my place. It’s supposed to be chilly tomorrow, I thought he might want it…’ Emma’s eyes remained fixed at the space over Regina’s right shoulder.
‘Henry has sweaters here, dear.’ Regina said, not unkindly. She took the bag from Emma regardless.
‘Right.’ Emma said, shaking her head. ‘Of course he does. I just…’ Emma didn’t make to finish her sentence. She met Regina’s gaze. Regina felt her expression soften.
‘I just never thought we’d be here, I guess.’ Emma said, her voice as small as she looked.“

Summary
Another curse. Of course it is, and this one’s wiped Emma Swan’s memories clean. Now she’s stuck living a life she has no recollection of choosing, isn’t sure why she chose it, and every time she closes her eyes she experiences one unexplainable dream after the next. As if that wasn’t enough, the mayor insists on antagonizing her at every turn, even if Emma has no idea why she hates her so fiercely (aside from that one tiny incident where she accused her of attempted murder), but to be fair, Regina’s threats were completely unwarranted. So there’s that.
But maybe...just maybe, this curse is exactly what Emma needs.

Lena lets out a careful breath and says, “James and I have decided to end our— association.”
What a perfectly weird and roundabout way to describe the end of a romantic relationship, Kara thinks. “Oh?” she says, aptly demonstrating her own comparative lack of eloquence.
It earns her one of Lena’s crinkly smiles at least, affection clear on her best friend’s face. “Should I feel offended that you don’t seem all that surprised?” she flusters.
“No,” Kara says, “I am,” and she is, is the thing, she's actually stunned, but she’s something else, much more than that.
She’s elated.
“Bummer,” Kara says.
